The KBG Family Network connects families through regional ambassadors around the United States, so they may organize meet-ups, build relationships, and amplify the voice of the KBG syndrome community among local agencies, hospitals, and more.
The KBG Foundation welcomes you to the KBG Family Network Program for KBG Syndrome-affected families.
The purpose of this regional program consists of the following:
Once this program is successfully rolled out and being used, it is the KBG Foundation’s intent to established it globally.
Within this program, the KBG Foundation hopes to sponsor Family and Clinic days at least annually as well as help our ambassadors heighten their leadership skills in supporting others with KBG Syndrome and serve as a liaison with local agencies, organizations and service providers.
The Foundation has allocated a budget for each region dependent upon donations and available funds. All Foundation personnel and Ambassadors work as volunteers, receive NO salary and must adhere to the Foundation's Gifts and Reimbursement Policy and the Petty Cash Policy.

I am a registered nurse and mom of two fantastic kids, living in Michigan. My daughter Shira was diagnosed with KBG syndrome in May of 2022, and after establishing her care team, I set my sights on building a community of families of individuals with KBG syndrome, as well as regional interdisciplinary teams of specialists to assist families with navigating the complexities of the diagnosis.
Life is full of unexpected news and experiences, forcing us to change directions and adapt to a new normal. I believe that the burden of this process is alleviated by the therapeutic power of community and that the health and well-being of every KBG family is strengthened through support, solidarity, and education.
